Introduction:
In the process of maintaining the momentum of quality consciousness in the education and the values that we provide, ILSASS has teamed up with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) with effective from 1st December 2016. The Cell has been setup in pursuance of the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education. ILSASS strongly believes in breeding the culture of excellence from a holistic approach and sustainable mode, targeting the benefits of every internal and external stakeholder who are associated with the institute. Thus the IQAC of ILSASS channelizes the efforts and measures towards academic excellence by setting quality benchmarks, strategies for self evaluation, customized feedback mechanism, sensitizing all the functionaries of the stakeholders to be accountable and contented etc.

Goals:
1. To develop a quality system for conscious, consistent and catalytic programmed action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the College.
2. To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internationalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

The IQAC shall have the following functions:
• Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the Colleges;
• Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process;
• Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes;
• Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education;
• Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles;
• Documentation of the various programmes/activities of the College, leading to quality improvement;
• Acting as a nodal agency of the college for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of good practices;
• Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining / enhancing the institutional quality;
• Development of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the College based on the quality parameters/assessment criteria developed by the relevant quality assurance body (like NAAC, NBA, AB) in the prescribed format;
• Bi-annual development of Quality Radars (QRs) and Ranking of Integral Unites of Colleges based on the AQAR;
• Interaction with SQACs in the pre and post accreditation quality assessment, sustenance and enhancement endeavours.

Follow up:
• The AQAR shall be approved by Charutar Vidya Mandal, our parent management body, for the follow up action for necessary quality enhancement measures.
• The Colleges shall regularly submit their AQARs to the affiliating University, state level quality assurance bodies, NAAC / other accreditation bodies and UGC.
• Regular and timely updates and hosting of IQAC activities and reports like AQARs, Minutes of meetings, and other relevant information on the institutional website.

Benefits of IQAC:
a) Ensure heightened level of clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement;
b) Ensure internalization of the quality culture;
c) Ensure enhancement and integration among the various activities of the college and good practices;
d) Provide a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning;
e) Act as a dynamic system for quality changes in the Colleges;
f) Build an organized methodology of documentation and internal communication.

The Admissions Committee in ILSASS would take care of all the admission related issues and smooth implementation of admissions process.

Key activities:

The Anti Narcotic Cell established in January 2017 aims at working against the use of alcohol, drugs and other substances among the students and encourage the students to make the Institution a Drug-free campus.

Key activities:
• To create awareness among the students by conducting seminars in the college, arranging poster campaigns, conducting rallies etc.
• To keep a watchful eye to detect truancy among students.
• Monitoring and reporting the drug related issues in the vicinity of the campus.
• To counsel the students regarding the adverse effects when required.

As per the UGC guidelines, all educational institutions are required to constitute an Anti Ragging Cell/ Committee as a preventive measure against occurrence of incidents of ragging. It shall be the duty of the Anti-Ragging Cell to ensure compliance with the provisions of UGC Regulations on curbing the Menace of Ragging in the Higher Educational institutions, 2OO9 (No. F.1-16/2007(CPP-II) Dated 17th June, 2009) as well as the provisions of any law for the time being in force concerning ragging.

Role and Responsibilities of the Cell:
1. Secret and surprise rounds at all the time especially at night at the hostel.
2. Fresher’s orientation to the college, hostel and faculties along with senior students has to be conducted.
3. Guidance and counselling program for the fresher’s and parents regarding ragging.
4. The fresher’s and the senior students have to be closely monitored during college hours.
5. Vulnerable Points like Hostel mess and toilets to be kept under vigilant eye.
6. Prepare Brochures and Leaflets for the fresher’s and their parents.
7. Take affidavits from the students and parents regarding Ragging during the admission.
8. Take disciplinary action immediately if any cases found with the help of UGC guidelines.
9. Send circular especially to the wardens and students about the helpline details inside and outside college premises.

Goal and Objectives:
The Library Advisory Committee, ILSASS has been setup for smooth functioning of Library and its optimum utilization by the core beneficiaries i.e., students, research scholars and faculty. The committee would look into various aspects and issues related to Library as explained below:
• To periodically search, scrutinize and procure relevant books and journals.
• To look into purchase and ordering process of books, journals, periodicals and other relevant material with the help of Librarian.
• To consider and put forward the requests of teaching faculty for particular books and journals.
• To look into procuring multimedia learning material like CDs, DVDs, eBooks, PDF files etc., relevant to various subjects being taught.
• To ensure proper utilization of Library by encouraging students, research scholars and staff to get issued with books and journals quite often.
• To set up INFLIBNET and ensure proper maintenance and utilization of the same.
• To look into procuring and various e-learning sources to substantiate the research consciousness and facilitate the researchers with relevant and accurate research material.
• To consider and put forward the opinions and views of students, research scholars and staff regarding library development, functional improvements, and associated concerns.

Objective & Goals:
In the process of encouraging and maintaining the research consciousness among the faculty and students of ILSASS the Institution has set up a Research Committee with effective from 8th May 2017. The Committee would look into steady progress of various aspects of research such as-
1. Encourage faculty to undertake research projects.
2. Motivate faculty to indulge in quality research publications.
3. Obtaining recognition as research guides.
4. Obtaining research grants from various funding agencies.
5. Monitoring the Consultancy services with proper MoUs etc.
6. Updating information on Major and Minor research projects of various funding agencies like UGC, ICSSR etc.
7. Guiding faculty and students in organising seminars, chairing sessions, and giving paper / poster presentations etc.
8. Encouraging students to take up sensible research topics for dissertations.
9. Encouraging students to publish research articles in reputed journals.
10. Involving students in activities of data collection like conducting surveys through administering questionnaires, conducting Focus group discussions etc for various consultancy services taken up by the faculty.
