M.A. Philosophy or Master of Arts in Philosophy is a postgraduate Philosophy course. Philosophy is the
study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence. The course includes a
comprehensive and thorough study of Philosophy as a discipline at an advanced level. The post-graduate
degree course involves the study of critical and systematic approach and its reliance on a reasoned
argument to address general problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, truth, beauty,
law, justice, validity, mind, and language. The study of M.A. (Philosophy) includes topics such as Moral
Philosophy, Problems of Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, Theory of Knowledge and Reality, Logic and
Language, Ethics, Religion, Philosophy of Mind, etc. M.A. (Philosophy) course is a valuable, important
and job orienting one.

| Eligibility |
- Aspiring students should have passed graduation degree in any stream.
- However, many of the reputed universities demand a graduation degree with Honours in Philosophy or Philosophy as one of the subjects studied in graduation from any of the recognized university/colleges of the country for admission to M.A. (Philosophy) degree course.
